Why they keep treating our kids like pawns instead of children
Teaching those they feel are worthy while letting others slip through the cracks
Treating neglectful parents at the top of the list
While those that do what is right
Have to fight their way to give their children what they need

The system is bull shit
They don’t give them what they need
Spend 6 hours teaching what can be taught in just 3
Stressing parents with too much homework
When I don’t see the fruits of their labor
Why irritate me?

I can say it
Cause I know the system
I see it everyday
How they are quick to stamp kids with diagnoses
And medicate them for the sake of their sanity
Make it sound like the parents are unstable
And have them see a psychiatrist
Just to say we are the ones bringing them to this insanity

The truth is
We wouldn’t need a shrink if they would just so the right thing
Stop playing bullshit games
Treat these children as individuals
Instead of a number that can simply be ignored
A statistical anomaly
A cause to an effect
Not all children are the same

So why categorize them?
Why neglect them?

They are suppose to be the future of the world
So treat them as is
Instead of an institutional ID

I have seen children with autism
And Asperger’s syndrome become members of society
When they are quick to say that their anti social behavior won’t allow it

I am sick and tired of the hypocrisy the state has place on our children
Why are some met at greater standards while others thrown away?
Become yesterdays trash
Making the parents go insane

They are quick to say they are a byproduct of their surroundings
When they are a byproduct of what the system want them to be

They are limited to what is before them
With no options
No improvements
Just limitations
Yet they are quick to blame the parents
When things go wrong

Why don’t you stand up?
Put your pants on straight
And say that as a system we have failed

Instead of being remorseful
Only when a child is been battered and abused
You are forgetting that
You do the same too
Mr. Big Shot Education System

Stop putting limitations
And do something for these kids
Instead of just turning them
To the future asylum patient
Or the newest member on cell block D

This system is a bunch of crock
And they won’t do something
Til a lawyer is knocking down their door…
